I’m not gonna lie I was shocked to walk away with an Austin FC jersey. Austin REALLY hates Dallas for some reason. More than Dallas hates them. It’s a strange dichotomy. Austin gets A LOT of red cards against Dallas, including Driussi getting his marching order this game (when surprisingly Dallas hasn’t had a single one in their history against Austin). Add in that postgame Cascante tried to fight Tafari and then go up into the stands and fight a Dallas fan. I was EXTRA surprised to have walked away with a kit.

Still, despite all this, Austin might have some of the coolest kits in the league. And high up the rankings for the coolest in league history. The Armadillo kit is a unique shade of green against a cream colored base. It’s simply stunning.

Ethan Finlay is an MLS veteran and an all around really solid player. He is a recent member of the 50-50 club and has played in over 300 career matches in MLS. He was kind enough to sign the jersey before giving it to me. However, you can see the jersey was still soaked and the autograph didn’t quite take. Still, a very kind and thoughtful gesture from him.
